Showing Beacon™ Frequently Asked Questions

What is Showing Beacon?
The Showing Beacon is a revolutionary tool invented to minimize the wasted time and hassle of selling a home. With the press of a button, sellers receive a cell phone call immediately upon the completion of a showing. It’s no longer necessary to be away from home for excessive time frames allotted for showings. It’s simple to use, a valuable convenience and a huge time saver.
How does the Showing Beacon work?
The Showing Beacon is a small, wireless device that communicates with a base unit which plugs into an active phone jack in the seller's home. After a showing, the Showing Agent presses the red button on the wireless Beacon as they leave the property. The press of the button sends a signal to the base unit which sends a message to our servers. Within minutes, the seller receives a cell phone call from Showing Beacon informing them the showing is finished and they are welcome to return home.
What do I do once I receive my first Showing Beacon in the mail?
First you must register your Showing Beacon online. Go to showingbeacon.com and click the Register New Beacon link. You will be prompted to follow simple steps to enroll as a new user. Once enrollment is complete, you are able to assign your Beacons to properties and enter cell phone numbers and/or emails you wish your Showing Beacon to contact. Next, install the Beacon at the property and it’s ready for use during the next showing.

We recommend placing your Beacon in a visible area such as hung on the entry door or placed on a prominent table or counter top. Signage is included to accompany the display of your Beacon.

Who uses the Showing Beacon?
The concept of the Showing Beacon first came about with a family tired of not knowing when to return home during showings. As it typically occurs, they were told to vacate their home for two hours during each showing. When they discovered their showings only lasted 15 minutes, they knew there just had to be an easier way to sell a home. Today home sellers of all walks of life rely on the convenience of the Showing Beacon. Usually, REALTORS purchases the Showing Beacon as a listing tool and a valuable service to their clients. However, a seller may also purchase a Showing Beacon to while their house is on the market.
How much does a Showing Beacon cost?
The Showing Beacon unit retails for $34.95. This price includes one free listing, the wireless unit with the button, the base unit, a phone cord, batteries, and professionally designed signage to display in the home. REALTORS can purchase an affordable service plan in order to move the Showing Beacon from listing to listing.
