| Who uses the Showing Beacon? |
| The concept of the Showing Beacon first came about with a family tired of not knowing when to return home during showings. As it typically occurs, they were told to vacate their home for two hours during each showing. When they discovered their showings only lasted 15 minutes, they knew there just had to be an easier way to sell a home. Today home sellers of all walks of life rely on the convenience of the Showing Beacon. Usually, REALTORS purchases the Showing Beacon as a listing tool and a valuable service to their clients. However, a seller may also purchase a Showing Beacon to while their house is on the market. |
|
| How does the Showing Agent know to press the button after a showing? |
| Just as the Listing Agent notes there is a lock box on the door or a dog in a kennel, the Listing Agent will note the Showing Beacon in the showing instructions for the home. It’s important to mention where it is placed in the home and to press the button as they the showing. There is also signage to display in the home as a reminder to the Showing Agent. |
|
| How do I explain the Showing Beacon to my seller? |
| Besides the information in the “What is the Showing Beacon?” and “How does the Showing Beacon work?” sections, telling your sellers or potential sellers that you use the Showing Beacon, is a positive interaction and a chance to prove you value their time and are serious about customer service. Depending on the needs and living situation of your seller, you should customize the conversation to their life. |
